NOTE: For your convenience, stitch counts are given for these patterns in case you don't wish to stitch on the count of gauze provided in a kit. My suggestion is to purchase the chart for a pattern and a piece of your preferred count silk gauze from the
You can use either the chart colors or your own.
To determine the finished size of a rug, divide the width and height stitches by the count of Silk Gauze you wish to use. For example, if the stitch count is shown as 106 wide by 77 high, on 40 count the finished size would be 2.6" by 2" (106 divided by 40 and 77 divided by 40). If you wanted to use 48 count Silk Gauze then divide by 48 and so on...

Forest Friends Rug |
 This rug depicts nine animals and six birds in a forest of birch trees. The animals are all different shades of browns, tans, etc., except for the ram, which is dirty white.
There is a narrow top border of stylized plants and a wider bottom border of two fawns and three evergreen trees. |

Howard and Henrietta Rug |
 This duck couple are out for a stroll in the green hills with a nice blue sky filled with beautiful puffy clouds.
They are all dressed up, Howard in his blue hat and tie and Henrietta in her best pink hat tied under her chin (do ducks have chins?) The border is of green, blue and pink rectangles and triangles.
