These kits include a full-color chart, imported silk gauze, 2 needles, DMC floss, a beautifully handcrafted little footstool with bun feet, finished and ready for mounting, batting for padding, complete instructions for stitching and mounting and a photo of the finished footstool.
NOTE: For your convenience, stitch counts are given for these patterns in case you don't wish to stitch on the count of gauze provided in a kit. I then suggest you purchase the chart for a pattern and a piece of your preferred count silk gauze from my
You can use either my colors or your own.
To determine the finished size of a rug, divide the width and height stitches by the count of Silk Gauze you wish to use. For example, if the stitch count is shown as 106 wide by 77 high, on 40 count the finished size would be 2.6" by 2" (106 divided by 40 and 77 divided by 40). If you wanted to use 48 count Silk Gauze then divide by 48 and so on.

14th Century Lion Footstool |
 I made this pattern from photos of textile pieces dating back to the 1300’s.
It is a very versatile choice and works in every home from a castle to a modern day contemporary. This is a companion pattern to the Knot Footstool below.
The colors are red, gold, black, ecru, green and blue. Also a great chair seat, pillow, floor pillow or, on a larger count silk gauze, this would be a beautiful game table top. |

16th Century Knot Footstool |
 Again, I created this pattern from photos of ancient textiles. It is a very versatile choice and works in every home from a castle to a modern day contemporary.
This is also suitable, perhaps on a different count, for a pillow, chair seat, game table top or floor pillow. I originally worked this pattern and it’s companion above on 60 count for a Pierre Wallack Tudor chair and foot rest. The colors are the same, red, blue, gold, ecru and green. |

Cluny Flowers Footstool |
 This pattern is in the style of the ever-popular mille-fleurs tapestries of the 15th and 16th centuries housed in the Cluny Museum, Paris. The petitpoint is of red, blue, yellow and white flowers with green leaves. The background is navy blue. Timeless and always in good taste. |

 A wonderful pattern from The Five Senses collection of the 15th-16th Centuries tapestries. This wee version depicts the Lady showing the Unicorn his reflection in a mirror. On the left is a Griffon bearing the Lady's Standard and flowering trees are on each side. The background is garnet and very deep navy. |
