#108 - Adjustable Frame
Adjustable Frame During the 1600-1700's, these frames, made in many sizes, were widely used not only in homes but also in embroidery workshops where they were often 5 or more feet in size. Depending on size, they were placed on the lap, on work tables, or on trestles (see below).

This frame is adjustable, having holes along 2 sides. The 4 handmade pegs are glued in place after you determine the desired size.

Period: Medieval
Exterior size of frame: 2-1/2" x 2-1/16"
Interior size of frame: Maximum 2-1/8" x 1-3/4"



#108A - Trestles
Trestles These trestles, sold as a pair for the Adjustable Frame (appearing above), were commonly used in the home.

Each has just 3 legs. The ends with the single legs allow room for a chair or stool.

Size: 2" long x 2-1/2" high

#109 - Slate Frame
Slate Frame This frame is ideal when held in the hand of a doll or temporarily laid down on a table or chair awaiting m'lady's return. There is a little handmade peg glued through the holes in each corner. This frame is not adjustable.

#110 - Queen Anne Large Standing Hoop
Queen Anne Large Standing Hoop
As with the Small Standing Hoop (below), this is a fabulous enhancement to any setting PLUS, you can show off an even larger piece of your stitchery. Like its two little sisters, Hand Hoop and Small Standing Hoop, the inner hoop is wood and the outer is brass.

Period: 18th Century

This piece is a classic and a wonderful enhancement to almost any setting, any decor and any period. It speaks for itself! Like the Hand Hoop, the inner hoop is wood and outer is brass.
